Steve Irwin, known by many as the Crocodile Hunter, has been killed by a stingray . Many people speculated he would eventually be killed by an animal he decided to mess with. The fact is, he didn't even see the animal that killed him. He was swimming over a stingray buried in the sand when it felt threatened and stuck its barb through his chest. Doctors say he likely died instantly. This is a huge loss to conservation and nature education around the world. Although he might have been a bit crazy with his approach he showed his love and understanding of every animal he came across. One can only hope that his love and belief that every animal deserves protection is carried on by all his fans.
