If you have ever used linux, in particular the dig command, and you use Windows now, you know that nslookup is just not the same.  Yes, it will resolve an IP for you but it doesn't give you the whole domain information block.  While surfing the web I found that the folks that wrote BIND were kind enough to provide a small toolkit for Windows users.  In this toolkit is one of the best domain resolution utilities ever, that's right, dig.  Once you get the files extracted you need to create a resolv.conf under your 'WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc' directory with your DNS servers in it.  Without further ado I give you dig right off of ISC's site.
